For those of you who aren't familiar with this annual event, it is an "exhibition"....not a competition. This means, that you can take a "sugar" inspired piece of your own creation and display it for other sugar enthusiasts to see and also for the public at large to enjoy. This year, sugar pieces ranged from cookies, to gumpaste flowers to a sculpted pillow cake to multi-tiered wedding cakes and modelled figures.
What's absolutely fab about this annual sugarcraft event, is that one can bring a sugar piece that they are most proud of to share, without the pressure of competition. And l don't know about you, but that's such a relief! No cake theme to worry about or rules to follow. Instead, one's passion for all things sugar is what rules here.
Great show, can't wait for next year!
