Cupcakes with Kids

I spent Sunday morning, with twelve great kids, making what else...cupcakes! I don't know about you, but I find cupcakes positively yummy. Although one must remember to preceed with caution when eating them...your waistline may expand along with your hips and thighs, LOL!

For three hours, buttercream was being piped, the fondant kneaded and candy applied. The kids had a fab time, especially using the Wilton Mist Colours, which were a BIG HIT. So popular in fact, that the kids organized themselves into two lines while waiting their turns. Hmmm....frankly I was impressed with that bit of organization, but when each got their turn, their inner artist just busted out.

The kids, as always, did a super job. And people...I thought I was a cake nut but as it turns out, so are the kids! They are big fans of The Cake Boss and even stay up late Friday nights to watch DC Cupcakes. Who knew? Cake nuts come in all sizes and aparently all ages too.
